Evidence-based mental health care for individuals, couples, and families

Smart Counseling and Mental Health Center provides outpatient mental health services for adults, adolescents, couples, and families. Treatment is individualized based on clinical needs, treatment goals, and therapist availability.

Our therapists use evidence-based and trauma-informed approaches, including EMDR, cognitive behavioral therapies, and relationship-focused interventions when clinically appropriate. Services are available in person in Murrieta and through secure telehealth throughout California.

Clinical focus

Therapists have training and experience in a range of mental health conditions and treatment approaches. Clients are matched based on clinical needs, therapist scope of practice, and availability.

Veteran-owned practice

SCMC is a veteran-owned mental health practice and serves veterans, military families, first responders, and members of the general community.

Services are provided with respect for each client’s identity, background, culture, values, and lived experience.

Available formats

In-person sessions are available in Murrieta. Secure telehealth is available throughout California. Evening and weekend appointments may be available.

Assessment and Treatment Planning

Treatment begins with an assessment of current symptoms, relevant history, functional concerns, strengths, and treatment goals. The therapist and client develop a treatment plan and review progress over time. Recommendations may change based on clinical response and client needs.
