Positive Affirmations

Positive Affirmations are a way to front load or prepare yourself for the upcoming day. This is a healthy and productive way of recognizing your self-worth and setting yourself up for success. Telling yourself daily Positive Affirmations is also a way to increase self-confidence and recognize your own positive attributes. Positive Affirmations are also a way to get back to the simple idea of loving yourself and treating yourself well, which will set you up to tackle any challenge the day may throw your way. Kaiser Permanente recognizes the benefits of Positive Affirmations as self-care and state “Positive affirmations are short, encouraging statements that you can use to create a more positive frame of mind:

  1. They are phrases that you can say, write, or repeat to yourself to affirm yourself and build your confidence.

  2. Positive affirmations can help you overcome negative thoughts and motivate you to achieve your goals.

  3. You can use them in any situation that challenges you or makes you doubt yourself” (Kaiser, 2019).

Some examples of Positive Affirmations are:

  • I am ready to take on the day

  • Today will be a good day

  • I am worthy/good enough

  • I deserve love/acknowledgement

  • I will practice self-kindness

  • I deserve respect

  • My goals are achievable

  • I will find good, in all things

  • I am on the right path in my life, whats right for me

  • I am thankful for the opportunities I have

  • I trust myself and make the right decisions for me

  • I trust myself

  • I am safe

  • I am confident

  • I will try new things, even if they scare me

  • I will succeed!
