Gerrel Dela Pena

I’m passionate about creating environments where people feel comfortable and supported. With my Bachelor of Science in Hospitality Management from the University of the Assumption in the Philippines, I’ve learned that minor details can make the most significant difference in someone’s day.

My background has taken me through various roles in the service industry, from food preparation and culinary operations to customer service and front desk management. Each experience taught me something valuable about anticipating needs and creating positive experiences for others.

What I love most about my role as Office Services Coordinator at Smart Counseling and Mental Health Center is knowing I’m helping create a space where healing can happen. I ensure our facility is spotless, our supplies are stocked, and everything our clinical team needs is ready when needed. It’s behind-the-scenes work, but I take pride in knowing that clients enter a welcoming and professional space when they walk through our doors.

I believe that mental health care should feel approachable, and that starts with the environment. My hospitality training taught me that excellent service often goes unnoticed – and that’s precisely how it should be. When everything runs smoothly, our therapists can focus entirely on what they do best: helping people.

Every day, I’m motivated by the opportunity to support our excellent clinical team and the clients who trust us with their mental health journey. It’s rewarding work that combines my love for organization, attention to detail, and genuine care for others.
